Delicious scallion pancakes made with all-purpose flour, water, salt, and filled with chopped scallions and sesame seeds. Perfect for a snack or appetizer, served warm with a dipping sauce.
Put flour into a bowl. Pour in hot water and salt. Stir well.
Use your hands to combine the mixture into a rough looking dough. Add more flour if needed.
Grasp dough to form a ball, cover, and rest for 10 minutes.
After resting, knead until very smooth (around 3-5 minutes).
Divide the dough into equal parts and shape each portion into a smooth round dough.
Cover the rest for 20 to 30 minutes.
With a rolling pin, flatten the dough ball into thin flat shape. Brush with sesame oil, sprinkle chopped scallions and sesame seeds on top.
Fold the dough into a cylinder, slightly lengthen with two hands, then roll from one end to the other to form a snail shape. Suck the end into the dough.
Roll the dough into round circles.
Warm up a pan on high heat, add some oil, and place the scallion pancakes.
Adjust to medium-high heat, cover and cook for 3-4 minutes until the bottom is golden brown.
Flip to the other side and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes or until cooked through.
Serve warm with the dipping sauce and enjoy.
