Chocolate Chip Loaf Cake

1: Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).

2: Prepare a 9x5-inch loaf pan.

3: In a bowl, whisk together sugar and softened butter until smooth and paste-like.

4: Add eggs and mix for 2-3 minutes.

5: Add sour cream, oil, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix well (the batter will curdle, which is normal).

6: In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.

7: Add dry ingredients to wet batter and mix until just combined.

8: Fold in chocolate chips.

9: Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and top with additional chocolate chips.

10: Bake for 1 hour or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out mostly clean.

11: Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
